In general, if you follow these steps as below, error code 30 will appear at a certain step. Then we just need to replace the part that caused this error code 30. When you start to check, please review the attached picture.
Step 1: Make sure the controller, LCD display, and battery power cord are all connected well.
Step 2: Unplug these connectors at the same time: ① (headlight wire connector), ③ (throttle wire connector), ④ (brake lever wire connector), ⑤ (brake lever wire connector), ⑥ (motor wire connector), ⑧ (sensor Wire connector).
Step 3: Turn on the power and check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means that the controller, LCD display, and battery are all right, otherwise one of these parts is faulty.
Step 4: Turn off the power, reconnect the plug of the ⑥ motor cable (black 9-pin) connector, then turn on the power and the display again, check whether the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the motor and its wire is OK, otherwise, it is faulty.
Step 5: Turn off the power, re-plug the throttle cable (yellow 3-pin), then turn on the power and display again, check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the throttle is okay, otherwise, it is faulty. In addition, if there is no error code 30, please twist the throttle to check if the bike works properly.
Step 6: Turn off the power, re-plug in one of the ④ brake wires (red 2 pin), then turn on the power and display again, check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the brake wire or breaker is OK, otherwise, it is faulty. In addition, if there is no error code 30, you need to twist the throttle and then brake the bike to see if it can be braked normally.
Step 7: Turn off the power, re-plug another ⑤ brake cable (red 2 pin), then turn on the power and meter again, check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the brake wire or breaker is OK, otherwise, it is faulty. In addition, if there is no error code 30, you need to twist the throttle and then brake to see if it can be braked normally.
Step 8: Turn off the power, reconnect the headlight cable (red 2 pin), then turn on the power and the display again, and check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the headlights are fine, otherwise it is faulty. Also, if there is no error code 30, try pressing the" + "button for 3 seconds to turn on the LCD backlight and headlights. Press it again for 3 seconds to turn it off. See if the headlight works properly.
Step 9: Turn off the power, re-plug the ⑧ sensor cable (yellow 3-pin), then turn on the power and display again, check if the error code 30 pops up on the LCD display. If not, that means the sensor cable is OK, otherwise, it is faulty. In addition, if there is no error code 30, try to pedal the bike to see if the pedal-assist can start the motor normally.
